Sometimes, the things we do often feel like things we need to check off our to-do list, but at our spa, we aim to make sure you’ve been submerged into the somatic experience of relaxation.
What does somatic mean? Somatic literally means “relating to the body, especially as distinct from the mind.” AKA getting outside of your head and into your body. The experiences of our spa should be “scheduled” so that you can continually feel and relax into your body — one day just isn’t enough because you deserve a reset.
This is called reoccurring self-care, because you do it often enough that dropping into your body instead of sitting in your head starts to become a natural part of your day. The further benefits of this are a more relaxed nervous system, awareness of your body, and an overall boost in dopamine.
These experiences can range from a monthly facial, to a bi-weekly steam, it all depends on your preference. If you want to mix in a weekly massage, monthly pedicure, bi-monthly facial, it’s up to you – but it all has the same affect, dropping you into your own skin.
