Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Massage Therapist to join us for a part-time (February & March) and full-time hours in April! The role involves offering assessment, customized massage therapy treatments, and home care to each client as well as light cleaning duties. This position requires a commitment to providing outstanding service and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere.

Current Hours:

• Monday: 10:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• Tuesday: 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Wednesday: 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM
• Thursday: 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM
• Friday: 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• Saturday: 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Full-Time Hours Available in March:

• Monday: 10:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• Tuesday to Friday: 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Saturday: 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Wage: Commission and gratuity
Additional hours and flexibility for shift swapping are appreciated and encouraged.

Skills & Qualities:

• Mastery of various massage techniques, including Swedish and deep tissue, to adapt treatments
• Understanding of human anatomy and physiology to effectively address client needs
• Strong verbal communication skills, understanding client preferences and providing clear instruction
• Empathy and compassion for creating a supportive and comforting environment
• High level of professionalism, including punctuality, ethical conduct, and confidentiality
• High Integrity adheres to ethical standards and maintains honesty and professionalism
• Team Player collaborative attitude to work effectively within a team environment
• Anticipation of Need proactive approach in anticipating client and team needs
• Active listening to address client concerns and ability to build trust

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Member in good standing with the chosen association
• City of Edmonton license
• Maintain accurate client records
• Support a clean and considered environment
• Client interactions: greetings, forms, hospitality (jacket, sandals, drinks)
• Basic reception knowledge
